US SEC unveils task force to start work on crypto regulations

Trump, who campaigned on promises to be a "crypto president," has pledged to reverse an industry crackdown under former President Joe Biden's SEC, which sued multiple crypto companies, including Coinbase and Kraken, alleging they had flouted its rules. The probe, dubbed "Operation Token Mirrors," marked the first time the FBI directed the creation of its own digital token, as well as a fake cryptocurrency company to help bait and catch fraudsters in the market.
