Elon Musk drops meme as Bitcoin tests $92K

Elon Musk is at it again, this time stirring up the crypto community on X.

On Apr 22, the long proponent of Dogecoin posted a meme that is both comedic and sheds light on crypto scams. The meme depicts Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, looking ominously thunderous while dropping modern internet wisdom. “There's an old saying – If a hot girl texts you about crypto, block him—Poseidon," Musk wrote.

Musk's post generated a deluge of reactions across crypto circles—some described it as a "public service announcement disguised as divine humor." The meme's virality showcases the increasing fears around social engineering scams in crypto, which frequently revolve around fake personalities and "investment tips."

Within hours, Musk posted again on a meme-adventure - this time in honor of economist Milton Friedman.

He reposted a meme from @Rothmus of a laser-eyed Friedman with the caption "Be based like Milton Friedman," referring to the story where Friedman, seeing inefficient shovel-shop labor in Communist China, replied that if creating jobs was the goal, they should give them spoons to use.

This meme further sheds light on the ongoing Trump-Xi Jinping trade war . On Apr 21, China proclaimed they would take "resolute and reciprocal” countermeasures to any other countries negotiating with the US if they struck a deal at China's expense with the trade war.

Meanwhile, during these macroeconomic developments, Bitcoin again rose by as much as $91,463.8, last seen in March. At press time, Bitcoin is trading at $90,740.50 , up by nearly 4% over the last 24 hours, as per Kraken's price feed.
